Life with the Hawks

We've had quite a bit of rain the last couple of weeks. That combined with the fact that we haven't added mulch to the pathway yet created quite a mess in the backyard. Casey carefully avoided the puddles as long as he could but I could just see in his eyes that he wanted nothing more than to dive right in. I told him that he could go ahead and splash in the mud if he wanted to. He looked at me as if I was crazy! He said, "I can?" I said sure, you can play and then once you're done we'll go in and clean up. His eyes lit up and he immediately jumped in! He told me he was "rolling around like a pig!" It made for a fun Saturday afternoon even if it was a big mess. I can't say that I've ever had the desire to play in the mud...I guess it's a boy thing. :)
