Life with the Hawks

Waaaa!! My babies are growing up so fast! We are a few weeks into the school year and so far Casey is loving being in Kindergarten! It has definitely been an adjustment to get into the morning routine and not have an afternoon nap so he's exhausted by the end of the day. Ms. Verzurk is great and just happens to have the coolest room mom ever! ;)
It has been such a blessing for Casey to go to Forest Ridge where Jason works. Even though Casey doesn't really act like it's a big deal, I know he's more confident and excited to have his dad there.
Only thing so far though...after only a couple of days in school Casey declared to me that he "fell in love!" Um, excuse me NO! :) He has since moved on to another girl to hang out with but I don't know if I'm ready for this!
Everyday has been a new adventure so far and I enjoy hearing about the new things he learns and about the experiences he has. I have already seen a change in his demeanor in just a short time. He's so happy to go to school and more confident in himself. That's really big for a little boy who is already hard on himself. Even though I'm sad that's growing so fast, I can't wait to see what he will accomplish.
