Life with the Hawks

Wow! We have officially entered the world known as "Little league baseball!" Not having boys in my family I didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. Bats, gloves, shoes, bags, line-ups and opening ceremonies at OLSEN FIELD...whoa! Casey is having so much fun in his first season in tee ball. We are the Rockies (thank goodness we're not the white sox) and have an awesome group of kids and parents. Although Casey is still honing his skills a bit there is not doubt that he is having a blast! I guess I will also confess to my insanity as a new "Baseball Mom." We were in charge of the snack after our first game so went home during my lunch break and made rice krispie treats and cut up some oranges (of course). Well I couldn't settle for plain rice krispie treats, I wanted them to be our teams' colors, purple and black. We only had multi-colored sprinkles so what did I do...I picked out all of the purple ones to put on top! Yes, I already know I'm crazy but I love my boys! :) Gotta love youth sports!
